The Foxlowe Arts Centre is screening A Bold Peace on November 14 as part of its Autumn Film Programme to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice. This film outlines Costa Rica’s groundbreaking experiment undertaken over 65 years ago to improve the nation’s welfare by disbanding their army and redirecting national resources to public education and universal health care. 

Free entry – donations welcome.

There will be a Fairtrade stall in the bar before the start of the film.

Cinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.

Licensed bar, hot drinks available from 7 pm.
